O LA INCREIBLE EVOLUCION DEL PASADO

Una técnica que viene de la naturaleza misma, el Chukum es un material que logra resaltar más allá de su practicidad, su funcionalidad y eficiencia; resaltando por representar toda una cultura, más que una técnica, una tradición que perduró en el tiempo; y es que, una vez más, las civilizaciones pre hispánicas nos recuerdan su gloria y gran avance para la época, cómo aprovechaban las bondades de este suelo para hacerse de una vasta cultura.
Extraído del árbol del mismo nombre, el Chukum juega un papel importante en el haber arquitectónico de la cultura Azteca, grandes edificaciones y monumentos que evocan su grandeza. Suerte de la resina extraída del árbol de Chucum, con cal, y sascab, que resulta en un mortero con propiedades de aglutinamiento y un color y texturas únicas, utilizadas para hacer una especie de friso en las paredes y muros de las antiguas estructuras aztecas; brinda sus propiedades, tanto físicas como estéticas para aportar color y textura a los espacios.
Las bondades de esta técnica que resulta en esta noble mezcla son propicias para piscinas, muros, techos, mesetas, en fin, al añadirle un poco de creatividad y experimentación puede encontrársele un sinfín de usos, propicia un acabado natural y aporta sobriedad y estilo, sea cual sea el espacio, como toda proeza de la naturaleza, se presta a sí misma para ser utilizada, empleada, moldeada, e inclusive pigmentada a nuestro antojo.

Suena increíble y un tanto incierto como un material utilizado en la época pre hispánica todavía preste un uso tan práctico en la época post moderna, donde fácilmente podemos ser víctimas de la ilusión de la evolución, olvidándonos que, esas opciones infinitas que buscamos incansablemente, están a nuestro alrededor.
